Invertebrates are amazing. These armoured examples are from a selection of crustaceans illustrated for the D.E.A.R. textbook, all of which were a pleasure to draw. The big guy on the left is a Mantis Shrimp, a creature with a punch so strong it can smash aquarium glass. Guttingly I haven't seen one in the wild and have only glimpsed one in captivity. Here's hoping.
